Working groups of SCO member states discuss joint military drills

AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of the General Staff of Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan attended the meeting of the expert working group of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization from October 31-November 1. Cooperation between Defense Ministries of the SCO member states was considered at the meeting.
The delegations exchanged information and views on important defense issues for the SCO region, considered further steps on the order of organization and conduct of anti-terror drill Peaceful Mission. The drill will be held in 2020 in Russia, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan said.
The protocol with amendments to the agreement on joint military drills was signed in April 2019 in Bishkek.
Implementation of this document will enable India and Pakistan, other states willing to join SCO, to join the agreement on joint military drills and to participate in drills in full.
