More than 80,000 young people unemployed in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of unemployed people under 29 in Kazakhstan reaches 81,000 people, according to Minister of Information and Social Development Dauren Abayev, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.
Now there are more than 3 million 300 thousand young people in the country, which is 21% of the total population. Among them, more than 2 million people are active part of the working people, 77% are hired workers.
"As of the 2nd quarter of 2019, the unemployment rate of youth was 3.7% or 81,000 people. One of the key parameters of effectiveness of young policy is reduction of youth unemployment," the Minister noted.
He stressed that 388,000 people among these 2 million work in the trading sphere, 253,000 - in agriculture, 239,000 - in education sphere, 218,000 - in industrial facilities, 23% - freelancers.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the most required specialists in Kazakhstan are computer hardware engineers, 3D modeling engineers, machine learning engineers, web and multimedia developers.
A high demand also is observed for construction painters, carpenters, masons and installers.
