AKIPRESS.COM - Authorities in Kazakhstan on November 2 imposed a 6-month restrictions for export of petroleum and diesel fuel by automobile transport, Informburo reported. These measures are signed in a joint order of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Finances, the Ministry of Interior and the National Security Committee on some issues of exporting petroleum from the territory of Kazakhstan.
The restrictions do not mean that the Russian and other drivers will not be able to tank up their vehicles. But they will not buy more than 20 liters of petroleum in their additional containers and special tanks. The ban is also applied to lubricating oils.
Authorities this summer found out a mass flow of Russian drivers to Kazakhstan, who were exporting petroleum for low prices to make a business in Russia.
Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev said that the mass export of petroleum to Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was due to the low prices.
