AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan has not yet received any request on holding the next round of the Syria talks in November, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi told on Wednesday on the sidelines of the government session.
"The talks were expected to be held on November 20, and even two alternative data were considered, but now active talks are ongoing in Geneva. Therefore, more likely, the issue will be considered again. As for now, there are no resuests," the Foreign Minister said.
The 13th round of Syria talks were held in Nur-Sultan on August 1-2. The guarantee states of the Astana process agreed to take certain measures on providing security to peaceful population in Idlib.
The armed conflict in Syria continues since March 2011.
The first meeting on regulation of the situation in Syria was held in Nur-Sultan on January 23-24, 2017.
