Kyrgyzstanis with type 1 diabetes can get insulin for free until age 29

AKIPRESS.COM - Vice PM Altynai Omurbekova held a government session to discuss insulin provision for people with type 1 diabetes.
Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karataev said that provision of insulin analogues to people with type 1 diabetes from birth to 29 years old by the state has been endorsed. Before that, people with type 1 diabetes were provided insulin free only until the age of 18.
Omurbekova noted that diabetes is the global problem as the number of people with diabetes is growing.
People must be able to get necessary medicine in any region of the country despite their residence, she said. The work in this direction must be done with the drug stores.
The members of the working group must come up with the suggestions on changes and additions to the list of vital medicine.
