Chui region police department chief begins walking and talking after serious brain injury

AKIPRESS.COM - Chui region police department chief Samat Kurmankulov began walking, the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan said. The rehabilitation is ongoing amid positive dynamics observed.

The Chui region police department chief received serious brain injury in the evening of August 7 during the storming of residence of ex-President Almazbek Atambayev in Koi-Tash village.
He was taken to a hospital, where he fell into coma. On August 12 he was transported to the Neurosurgery Center in Moscow.
Kurmankulov was awarded with the Erdik medal by President Sooronbai Jeenbekov on occasion of the 95th anniversary of Kyrgyz militia.
