Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Norway hold political consultations

AKIPRESS.COM - The Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Norway held first ever consultations on November 6 in Bishkek at the level of Deputy Foreign Minister Aziz Madmarov and Secretary of State Audun Halvorsen. The delegation of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrived in Bishkek for the consultations in accordance with the agreement reached between Foreign Minister Aidarbekov and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in September 2019.
The consultations addressed a broad range of issues of a mutual interest in bilateral, regional and multilateral format.
The sides agreed to further enhance cooperation in priority areas, including political cooperation, strengthening of regulatory framework of cooperation, environmental protection, rehabilitation of uranium tailings, education, preparation of new joint projects, cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
