Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to UN meets President of 74th session of UN GA

AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva met President of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly Tijjani Muhammad-Bande of Nigeria in the UN Headquarters on November 5. The sides discussed a broad range of international issues and prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Office of the President of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
Ambassador Moldoisaeva outlined information on Kyrgyzstan's contribution into development of international dialogue in the UN framework via various initiatives, such as declaration of February 20 the World Social Justice Day and December 11 the International Mountain Day, establishment of an informal group of Friends of Mountainous Countries and promotion of the UN resolution on sustainable mountain development.
The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan underlined the efforts of the Kyrgyz government towards achievement of the sustainable development goals. She said Kyrgyzstan will present the Voluntary National Review on progress of achievement of the sustainable development goals in 2020.
The President of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly Tijjani Bande positively valued the contribution of Kyrgyzstan into development of cooperation and expressed support to the Kyrgyz side in further initiatives in this regard, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.
