AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met businessmen and investors on November 6 as part of the official visit to Switzerland. Priority areas of cooperation with foreign entrepreneurs and investors for Tajikistan are projects in energy sector, infrastructure, industrial production, mining and light industries, processing of agricultural products, metals and precious stones, cotton fiber, financial, banking sectors, tourism industry and pharmaceutical sector.
The President of Tajikistan invited Swiss businessmen to visit the country to establish close ties on the ground and to participate in profitable projects.
The countries signed 3 documents at the forum in presence of Emomali Rahmon, including memorandum of cooperation between the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Switzerland and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan; memorandum of cooperation between Swiss Marketing National Organization and the Tourism Committee of Tajikistan, memorandum of cooperation between Glencore Holding and Talco on $1.3 billion bilateral trade.
