President Rahmon, Prince Karim Aga Khan discuss bilateral projects

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with Prince Karim Aga Khan IV in Paris on November 7 as part of the official visit to France, the president's press service reports. Cooperation between Tajikistan and the Aga Khan Development Network was in focus of discussions.
The sides expressed readiness to further develop and expand ties, discussed implementation of ongoing projects, cooperation in economic, agricultural, construction, education, health sectors, environmental protection, culture, mitigation of disaster consequences.
A special attention during consideration of economic development was paid to cooperation between Tajikistan and the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, its public and private companies in Tajikistan.
Bilateral ties were also considered in implementation of state and strategic programs, such as ensuring energy security, construction of bridges and establishment of cross-border markets in border areas of Tajikistan and Afghanistan, contribution of the University of Central Asia in Khorog in development of education.
