2 children die of exposure ice water in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The 6- and 5-year old children died in Zhitiker village, Zhitiker district, Kostanay region after having been trapped in a two-meter ice water, the press service of the emergency situations committee of Kazakhstan said.
Three children were playing on the weak ice of the artificial water reservoir and fell in the ice water on Sunday.
Police officers handed over the children to the ambulance for further hospitalization. Upon arrival to the hospital, two children died of exposure. The 8-year-old child is in satisfactory condition.
A 65-year-old man, who tried to save the children out of the water, was also delivered to the hospital in a satisfactory condition.
