Nazarbayev wants Russia and EU to make peace

AKIPRESS.COM - The First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev speaking at the Astana Club forum offered to launch a dialogue mechanism of partnership between the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union, Vlast.kz reports.
"I think it's absolutely unacceptable when there is no a comprehensive dialogue between the EU and the EAEU. These two unions are linked with each other both geographically and historically. The current political divisions should not separate us," Nazarbayev noted.
Accoridng to him, it is time to put a stop to the existing confrontations between Russia and the EU, as more people start understanding how much loss this conflict is bringing to the economies of the countries.
Therefore, the former President suggests to launch an interactive mechanism of partnership between the EU and the EAEU.
Nazarbayev said he is ready to provide support in this process.
"A pragmatic cooperation between the EAEU, the EU, SCO, ASEAN, one Belt - One Way initiative could give a powerful impulse in formation of the Greater Eurasia," Nazarbayev said.
