AKIPRESS.COM - Amendments to the migration law of Mongolia have been discussed in Ulaanbaatar on November 11. The document is aimed at simplifying visa issuance, creation of visa center for consolidated information for tourists, prolongation of deadlines of visa issuance in line with the international standards and improvinf visa policy.
According to the Immigration Agency of Mongolia, more than 27,000-28,000 foreign tourists have been registered in the country that were staying in Mongolia for more than 30 days.
The foreign citizens will be deported from Mongolia, if their visas are not prolonged and if they are accused of violation of the country's law. However, some of them fail to prolong their visas for some uncontrolled circumstances as health or family problems. Mongolia in this regard provides an opportunity to prolong their visas from 90 to 180 days at the request of the international organizations. To do this, the foreigners should pay more for visas and other costs.
The amendments in this sphere emerged after police of Mongolia deported 759 Chinese citizens, who were accused of money laundering on November 2.
