Kazakhstan not ready for introduction of new EAEU requirements for milk

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan again plans to prolong the transition period on requirements for microbiological indicators to milk products up to 5 years, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
The Ministry of Agriculture and the council on agro-industrial policy will discuss the extension of the technical regulation of the EAEU on security of milk and milk products for longer period, the Ministry said.
The issue of prolongation of the period will be resolved by December 2019 probably.
As the Ministry reported, the Kazakh side prepared and is implementing measures on modernization of the dairy industry of the country to adapt to the new terms since prepartion and adoption of the draft technical regulation.
To support the national producers of milk products, Kazakhstan has twice postponed the introduction of new requirements on July 1, 2017 for the first time, then one more time until January 1, 2020.
