Awareness raising campaign to prevent AIDS kicks off in remote areas of Osh region

AKIPRESS.COM - The awareness raising campaign to prevent HIV infection was held in the remote areas of the Osh region. The specialists of the regional prevention and AIDS combating center along with the specialists of the rural committees for the health in the remote areas of the region conducted awareness raising campaign among the local residents within then month-campaign dedicated to the World AIDS Day.
Prior to this, a mobile clinic conducted a medical examination of 60 residents of the Aral village of the Nookat district.
The anonymous free HIV testing was organized by rapid testing at the AIDS center and at the medical clinic of Osh State University. The rapid testing stations will be opened in the central markets of Osh and Kara-Suu districts.
