Ministry of Emergency Situations warns of elevated air pollution in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The average daily composition of harmful impurities in the air of Bishkek was high on November 16-18, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said. According to Head of the Environmental Pollution Management Department of the Kyrgyzgidromet Lyudmila Nyshanbayeva, in the morning of November 19, the composition of sulphurous oxide, oxide and nitrogen peroxide on one of the streets of Bishkek (Lushihina) did not exceed the health-based exposure limit established in Kyrgyzstan.
The composition of sulphurous oxide (2.8) and fine particles (1.8) remain increased in the city.
In general, the elevated air pollution is observed in Bishkek, the Ministry said.
