UN approves draft resolution on improving women's situation in rural areas initiated by Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - The third commitee of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly on November 8 approved the draft resolution themed "Improving situation of women and girls in riral areas", which was initiated by Mongolia.
The resolution reveals some goals on strengthening sustainability and adaptation potential of all rural women and girls to respond the economic, social and environmental challenges and unfavorable consequences of the climate change, natural disasters and extreme weather conditions and their restoration by providing the necessary infrastructure, services, technologies, the early warning systems, financing, social protection and jobs for women.
105 UN member states joined the resolution as co-authors.
