‘We should facilitate work to prevent child abuse’ - President Jeenbekov

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov delivered a speech on occasion of the 30th anniversary of adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. "This year marks 25th anniversary since joining of Kyrgyzstan to the current Convention, thereby our nation assumed obligations that each child should be cared by parents and state.
We should provide the implementation of children's rights, guarantee them access to the qualitative educational programs, provide them with the right for the family ambiance and safe society.
The law enforcement agencies, judicial and self governance bodies should facilitate the work to prevent child abuse.
"Tumar" campaign supporting children, which stared on June 1 should become annual," Jeenbekov said.
