Turkmen President instructs to increase oil and gas production

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the management of oil and gas sector of the country, Turkmen State News Agency reports.
The participants of the meeting discussed issues of improving the functioning of the sector and increasing its effectiveness taking into account the priority areas of our country's energy policy.
President emphasized that the further development of the oil and gas industry, which is one of the foundations of the economy, the achievement of its profitability and, as a result, its transformation into an advanced, highly profitable industry, is one of the priorities of the state policy.
Berdimuhamedov noted that all the leaders of the oil and gas industry should pay special attention to the rigorous implementation of production tasks by industry enterprises and departments, as well as to achieve a constant increase in their financial and economic indicators and profitable work.
President of Turkmenistan outlined a number of main tasks for implementing state programs and improving production indicators of the oil and gas complex of country.
Following the meeting, the head of the state emphasized that advanced technologies should be widely incorporated into the production based on the latest scientific achievements in order to improve production indicators of the complex and added that foreign investments should be attracted to the industry on mutually beneficial conditions.
