Three more cement plants to appear in Turkmenistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Three new cement plants must be built in districts of Turkmenistan using foreign investments, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Türkmensenagat State Agency during the working meeting with the management of industrial and communication sectors of the country, Turkemen state media reports.
President stressed that in order to satisfy domestic needs and export cement, at least three more cement plants should be built, as well as instructed to speed up the necessary work, and to reconstruct outdated enterprises.
Berdimuhamedov underlined the low level of utilization of production capacities at the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry and instructed Deputy Prime Minister Bayramgeldy Ovezov and the management of the Ministry of Textile Industry to determine the construction sites for new profile factories and to ensure their construction.
During the meeting, it was reported that over $3.3 billion have been invested in the development of the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern over the past 10 years, after which the concern's mineral fertilizer production capacity has tripled.
President noted that for the timely and sufficient provision of the agricultural industry with mineral fertilizers, as well as for their export, it is necessary to ensure full production capacity of the new plants.
