Wages of police patrol service officers increased twice: Deputy Interior Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - The deputy head of the road patrol police Nur Satybaldiyev briefed on the obstacles they faced during the establishment of police patrol service in Bishkek at the session of Interior Ministry's public council on Nov 22. "It was hard to receive approval from Finance Ministry. We included into budget 381 million soms and these funds were divided into two years," he said.
In addition, the road police announced a competition to take on the employees and this procedure took time, so we could not launch the service on October 1.
The Deputy Interior Minister Almaz Orozaliyev said that there was no delays. Everything was conducted according to the plan. The official launching ceremony was held on Oct 31.
The wages of police patrol service were increased twice in order to prevent corruption risks, said Orozaliyev.
"Prior to this, patrol officers received 12,000-13,000 and now they received 25,000-26,000 soms. Those who have term of service will receive up to 30,000 soms. Other funds were allocate for purchase of equipment and vehicles," he said.
The personnel receive 10 instead of 4 liters of gasoline.
