Number of unemployed people reached 156,000 in 2018 – Statistics

AKIPRESS.COM - A number of unemployed in Kyrgyzstan reached 156,000 people in 2018, the National Statistics Committee data showed. 56% of unemployed were men and 44% were women.
The general unemployment rate reached 6.2% in the republic, 6.5% in the city and 5.9% in the rural areas.
Over half of unemployed people are aged of up to 30-years-old.
