President of Tatarstan arrives in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Samarkand on a working visit. Samarkand region governor Erkinjon Turdimov greeted the President of Tatarstan upon arrival, local media report.
Rustam Minnikhanov met with Tatar public organizations of Uzbekistan first.
Around 300,000 Tatars live in Uzbekistan, which is near 1% of country population. The biggest diasporas live in Tashkent and Samarkand regions.
Minnikhanov will attend the inauguration ceremony of Kamaz duty-truck assembly line on november 26. Then he will head to Tashkent, where he will visit the Tashkent Agricultural Machinery Faactory and the Novyi Vek Broadcasting Company.
The President of Tatarstan will also meet Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev on the sidelines of Tatarstan-Uzbekistan business forum.
The official meetings will be held with Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Several cooperation agreements between enterprises of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan will be signed.
