Uzbek man given almost 9-year sentence for bank robbery attempt with toy pistol

AKIPRESS.COM - The court in Russia's Nizhnevartovsk sentenced the 24-year old citizen of Uzbekistan to 8 years and 10 months in prison. The court found the man guilty of bank robbery attempt in January 2019 with a toy plastic pistol.
The young man pointed the pistol at the bank officer and demanded to give the money. When the bank officer said she does not have access to the cash department, the man escaped from the bank.
