Prime Minister joins campaign against violence

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev supported the campaign "16 days against violence", which will last until Dec 10, said government. Abilgaziyev noted that domestic violence is an acute issue in the country and world.
"The society should be intolerable to expressions of violence towards women and children. Any violence cases of physical, psychological, sexual nature should not be ignored by the relevant authorities, society and the state, because the expressions of violence is a violation of basic human rights, immunity principles of human dignity," said Prime Minister.
The campaign is aimed at increasing the impatience of society towards domestic and gender abuse and increasing the awareness citizens on abuse forms, the government said.
5,185 cases of domestic violence were registered in 10 months of 2019, as well as 3,647 cases of psychical violence, 1,362 cases of psychological violence and 7 cases of sexual violence.
