Almost 40% of Kazakhstani families struggle financially after birth of children

AKIPRESS.COM - Almost 40% of families in Kazakhstan face financial difficulties after the birth of children, according to the national report "Kazakhstani families 2019" prepared by the Institute of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities of Kazakhstan public fund, Zakon.kz reports.
The report reveals the results of sociological researches conducted from June to November in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent and 14 regions of the country.
The survey showed that the main reason for marriage for most of the respondents is a wish to create a family (70%), feeling of love (63.1%), wish to have children (37.1%), independence from parents (10.5%), pregnancy (7.0%).
The majority believes that a marriage should be registered in the Civil Registration Office (72.9%), does not matter (13.7%) and not necessarily (13.2%).
