Another lawmaker condemns arrest of blogger for social media post in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Another lawmaker condemned the arrest of blogger Avtandil Jorobekov for a social media post in Kyrgyzstan.
"You've arrested a young blogger who criticized smuggling and government. Why don't you arrest smugglers?" MP Almambet Shykmamatov said during the parliament session.
Arrests and prosecutions only lead to protest mood.
"Parliament also criticized the government, let's then jail the MPs too," he said.
Admin of popular social media page BezpredelKG Avtandil Jorobekov was arrested on November 24 for inciting to ethnic hatred. He was taken into custody until January 24, 2020.
