Lawmaker says oaks suffer from exhaust gas of vehicles in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Ryskeldi Mombekov during the SDPK faction meeting today voiced the reason for disease of oak trees in Bishkek.
"The oaks go yellow due to the exhaust gas from vehicles," he said.
The lawmaker compared the trees with lung of a person.
"To treat the oaks, they went to Holland and bought drugs. There was no need. When a person smokes, his lung suffers too," Mombekov said.
The specialists say that the problem of oak trees emerged due to the large volume of exhaust gases, Mombekov noted.
"Bishkek was designed for 100,000 cars, but now there are 1.5 million cars. The trees are yellowing. We studied that in the botanics. A person, who will treat the oaks, is an oak himself. They made injections to the oaks, while scientists were laughing at them," the parliamentarian reprimanded.
He proposed to resolve the problem of smoke instead of treating of oaks.
