Russians complaining on smoke from Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Residents of Astrakhan region of Russia, which borders the northeast of Kazakhstan, are appealing to the emergency services with complains on burning smell, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports. According to the regional emergency situations services, the smoke might come from the territory of Kazakhstan.
The space monitoring reveals a thermal anomaly - burning of reeds - on the territory of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Astrakhan region said.
The Russian authorities established cooperation with the emergency services of Atyrau region. There is no any threat to the population and infrastructure, the Russian services said.
Specialists checked the indicators and found out no exceeding of the level of maximum permissible concentrations of harmful substances.
The Kazakh side has not yet commented on the situation.
