AKIPRESS.COM - Most of city and regional objects in Kyrgyzstan are inaccessible for people with disabilities, said the chairman of public fund "Committee for rights of disabled people" Tolkunbek Isakov at the press conference in AKIpress on Dec 2. According to him, the leaders of the regional organizations held inspection and monitoring for access of disabled people in 200 institutions on Nov 25-27.
"The monitoring results showed that 110 out of 200 objects are inaccessible. 70 objects have partial access and 20 objects are fully accessible for disabled people," he said.
Isakov added that monitoring covered 5 educational institutes and mayor's offices of towns, as well as 30 schools, 19 hospitals and 7 village councils.
"The results will be sent to Prime Minister and President. We plan to conduct these monitorings more often," he added.
The acting director of "Nur Bol" public organization Jyldyz Rakimbayeva said that the only one hospital in Arashan village of Chui region has good rampants, which meet all requirements.
