Parliament passes bill on rehabilitation of water supply in Isfana

AKIPRESS.COM - The parliamentary committee on budget and finance of Kyrgyzstan on December 2 approved the draft law on ratification of the credit agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the project of rehabilitation of water supply in Isfana town. The agreement was signed on September 13, 2019 in Bishkek.
The committee also passed the draft law on grant agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EBRD concerning the investment grant from the EU provided on the project of rehabilitation of water supply in Isfana town signed on September 13, 2019 in Bishkek.
The funds for implementation of the project on rehabilitation of water supply in Isfana are provided by the EBRD from the funds of the Investment facility for Central Asia (IFCA).
The project costs in general 5 million euros, including:
- financing of EBRD - 1.6 million (loan);
- financing of EBRD from Investment facility for Central Asia - 2.4 million euros (grant);
- financing of EBRD - 1 million euro (grants of technical cooperation).
The EBRD provides funds for 15 years, including with 3-year soft period and +1.0% interest rates.
The project is to be implemented within 3 years.
