Rescuers could not reach approximate location of missing employees of Kumtor

AKIPRESS.COM - Rescuers are not yet able to reach the approximate location of those missing in the Kumtor gold mine, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Kalys Akhmatov said. According to him, the search operations are underway in the emregency zone.
"All relevant bodies are carrying out their work. The State Environmental Inspectorate for Technical Safety checked the location and set up special equipment for recording the dump points and establishment of safe places. The specialists of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry are carrying out analyses three times a day and reporting the results," Akhmatov noted.
Due to a large volume of mountains dumps, the rescuers could not yet reach the approximate location of the missing people.
"I hope we will reach the site in the evening," he said.
