AKIPRESS.COM - There was an increased level of carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide in the air of Bishkek over the last days, according to head of the monitoring department over environmental pollution of the Agency for Hydrometeorology under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzgidromet) Lyudmila Nyshanbayeva said.
The PM 2.5 concentraion has falled slightly, the specialist noted.
"This happened due to the weather conditions: air masses changed, the wind appeared, there was no surface inversion. The picture changed. Air is a moving substance, which moves all the time and we should not forget about self-cleaning effect. To speak about the dynamics of air quality, as of 10:00 am today, the quality of air showed acceptable both on our devices and the equipment of established in the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek. The dynamics is positive, air quality is normal," Nyshanbayeva said.
