Inside the only penal colony in Kyrgyzstan for women and teenage girls

8 inmates have children, 2 are TB-positive, 1 has cancer, 5 women have disabilities, and 18 inmates are foreign nationals.
The correctional colony #2 is located in Stepnoe village, Chuy region. The penal colony was founded in 1962.
This is the only correctional facility for women and teenage girls.
