AKIPRESS.COM - By November 1, 2019, the population of Kazakhstan was 18,593,000 people increasing from the beginning of the year by 1.07%, according to the statistics committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the country, Vlast.kz reports.
The highest growth of the population is in Nur-Sultan (+4.53%), Mangistau region (+2.56%), Almaty (+2.55%), Shymkent (+2.20%), Turkestan region (+1.51%) and Atyrau region (+1.51%).
The population of Almaty increased by 1.9 million people, but the growth here is twice slower than in the capital, where by November 1, 1,127,000 people lived.
Within 9 months of 2019, the population growth was observed in 11 out of 17 regions of Kazakhstan.
In 13 out of 17 regions of the country, a migration flow continues. The migration flow is recorded in Mangistau region, Shymkent, Almaty and Nur-Sultan.
