Prosecutor asks 15 and 20 years in prison for ex-mayors of Bishkek for corruption

AKIPRESS.COM - Public prosecutor asked the judge to sentence ex-Bishkek mayor Albek Ibraimov to 20 years in prison with confiscation of property and ex-mayor Kubanychbek Kulmatov to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Prosecutor also asks the judge of the Lenin district court of Bishkek to strip them of their class ranks.
For other defendants of the case, the public prosecutor asks:
- to sentence ex-head of the Public State Administration of Capital Construction Stalbek Omurkanov to 15 years in prison,
- to sentence Seitkan Aliyev, head of Aikol-Kurulush Company, 15 years in prison,
- to sentence Kubat Sharshekeyev, founder of the Alta Group construction company, to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The defendants are accused of corruption in construction of the school in Kaly-Ordo village, wasting the Dastan TNK JSC funds, and illegal handing over of municipal lands.
