Mongolia exports 40,000 tons of meat including to Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia has exported a total of 40,000 tons of meat to China, Russia, Vietnam, Japan, Iran and Kazakhstan from the beginning of this year. Over the past years, export of meat to Hong Kong, Iran and Vietnam is growing. About 80% of the total revenues from export of meat fall to horse beef, lamb meat, goat meat. Mongolia earned 400 billion tugriks (about $160 million) from export of meat in 2018.
Mongolians use about 10-12 million heads of cattle or 300-400 tons of meat a year.
