858,000 traffic violations recorded since Safe City launch

AKIPRESS.COM - 858,000 traffic rule violations were recorded since March 4 to Nov within the Safe City project, said the Interior Minister Kaskar Junushaliyev at the session at Ala-Archa state residence on Dec 10.
According to him, the fines were imposed for 497.5 million soms, including 49.2% of fines were paid.
Currently, the corresponding work is underway in Bishkek city and Chui region, where 266 stationary and 40 mobile posts were installed, said Junushaliyev.
Interior Ministry noted the number of road traffic accidents decreased since the launch of the Safe City project by 50% in Bishkek city and by 40% in the Chui region.
