Specialist recommends to wear masks during smog in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Masks should be worn during smog in Bishkek, director of the scientific and industrial association under the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan Anara Shahmatova said. According to her, wearing mask everyday is not necessary.
Respiratory masks should not be used, they should be made of cotton, she noted.
Shahmatova said that the vehicles emit pollutants that negatively affect the people's health.
"Burning of synthetical materials, plastic bags also have a negative impact on health. Burning of solid wastes can increase the heart diseases and cause lung cancer. This is dangerous for sensitive group of people, especially old and pregnant ones, " she added.
