Video-course on protection of women rights from gender violence developed in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The video-course "The activity of law enforcement and judiciary agencies in the sphere of protection of women rights from gender violence" was developed in Kyrgyzstan, according to the press conference in Bishkek on Dec 10. The course was developed by the representatives of the Supreme Court, High Justice Training Center, General Prosecutor's Office, Interior Ministry, representatives of the public fund "Democratic processes research center" and others.
The course will familiarize with the international documents and nationals legislation in the sphere of protection of women rights from gender violence, said the director of the lawyers training center Aijan Orozakunova.
"The course presents a number of trainings focused on attraction public attention to the peculiarities of trials related to crimes against sexual freedom and sexual immunity, family and minors, as well as cases of family violence," she said.
The 4-hour course is mandatory for all employees of the internal affairs bodies, prosecutors, courts and lawyers working in the field of protecting the rights of women and girls from gender and family violence, said the teacher of the Interior Ministry's Academy Azamat Abdrahmanov.
