AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reminded the youth of the country that Kazakhstan is a secular state and religion should not be held up to view, Tengrinews.kz reports. "Unfortunately, a number of so-called NEET-youth (Not in Education, Employment or Training), which does not study and work, is growing in the country. According to sociologists, more than 20% of young people have to stay home without job after finishing the school," Tokayev noted at the closing ceremony of the Youth Year.
According to the head of state, most of young people do not participate in a public life and are not aware of youth support programs.
The youth organizations should first of all work with this category of young people, the President said.
