Lawmaker offers moratorium on production of plastic bags in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Marlen Mamataliyev during the session of the Parliament today proposed to announce a moratorium on production of plastic bags.
The population will support the ban, he thinks.
Deputy Minister of Economy Dastan Kadyrov said that the draft law will allow the government to prohibit production and use of plastic bags or event make them paid.
According to him, the government has a draft decree on using and production of plastic bags.
Mamataliyev said the taxes for those producing paper bags should be decreased.
Representatives of the Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry did not show up at the meeting.
