Proposals on resolution of smog problem voiced at Bishkek City Council meeting

AKIPRESS.COM - A permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council on December 10 discussed smog issue in the city. The participants named proposals on resolution of the problem at the meeting.
The main source of air pollution, according to them, is private residences that use coal for heating of houses and a large number of vehicles in Bishkek, in particular, old ones.
To solve this problem, the commission members offered to consider the quality of fuel products, restart the tech inspection of vehicles with a mandatory catalyser, gasification of private residences and use of natural gas or electricity while heating of houses and increasing green plants.
