Quality of water in Issyk-Kul conforms with norms

AKIPRESS.COM - The quality of water in the Issyk-Kul Lake meets the norms, the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Agency employees held a seasonal deep and waterside monitoring of the lake to check the quality of water.
As a result of the chemical analyses, the quality of water in all selected sites corresponds to all norms and requirements of admittable concentrations for fishery basins.
The samples of water were selected in 20 sites of the lake.
Water sampling is carried out according to 12 components: water temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, nitrate nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen consumption (BOD5), suspended solids, chlorides, sulfates, surfactants and others.
Within the period of 2016-2019, the chemical composition and quality of water did not reveal any changes.
