Lawmaker urges to repair Chingiz Aitmatov House Museum for state budget

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Dastan Bekeshev (SDPK) during the Parliament session proposed to repair the Chingiz Aitmatov House Museum at the expense of the state budget.
"We lay wreaths to Chingiz Aitmatov, name the streets after him, but we do not pay attention to his house museum," he noted.
According to him, the House Museum is visited by high officials from foreign countries, including President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Aitmatovs themselves can not repair the house, Bekeshev said.
"We allocated 30 million som for the monument in Moscow. I appeal to everyone to repair the house at the expense of state budget," he noted.
