Turkmenistan, UN discuss human rights cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - The Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan met Head of UN Human Rights Office for Central Asia Ryszard Komenda on December 11 to discuss human rights cooperation.
Turkmenistan has prepared the national report on implementation of the International Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination that will be submitted to the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination according to the schedule.
The Head of the UN Human Rights Office for Central Asia underlined importance of increasing capacity and knowledge in the human rights sphere, shared the experience of development of Master's degree programs for universities and training courses for public servants.
Prospects of cooperation for 2020 were reviewed at the meeting, the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
