AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Erlobat Dosayev told the government session on Thursday that the prices for bread, meat and fish increased in the country, Zakon.kz reported.
The annual inflation of this year was lower than it was expected making 5.4%, according to him.
Food products this year cost 9.7% higher than the last year. In particular, prices for bread (15.5%), meat products (13.4%) and fish (12.2%) went up, Dosayev said.
Prices for non-food products continue slowing down from 6.4% in December 2018 to 4.8% in November 2019 due to decrease of prices for petroleum by 4.5%. Growth of tariffs for paid services remain slight - 0.6%.
"Inflation rate until the end of this year is projected at 5.5%-5.7%," the Chief of the regulator added.
