Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Japan on December 17-20

AKIPRESS.COM - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on December 17-20.
The talks are scheduled with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, President of the House of Councilors of the Parliament Akiko Santo, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament Tadamori Oshima, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Finance Taro Aso. They will discuss priority areas of Uzbek-Japanese relations.
The President of Uzbekistan will be received by the Emperor of Japan Naruhito.
The visit agenda also includes meetings with President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Shinichi Kitaoka, heads of leading industrial and financial institutions.
The President will also visit the city of Nagoya, where he will meet with the governor of Aichi Prefecture Hideaki Omura, the Mayor of Nagoya Takashi Kawamura, and the President of the Nagoya University Seiichi Matsuo to discuss establishing partnership between cities and educational institutions.
Following the official visit, it is expected to adopt a joint statement on further deepening and expansion of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan, sign a package of documents aimed at strengthening the legal framework of cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, customs, tourism, science and technology and other spheres.
