‘We are against tyranny of Nazarvayev!’ - Civil rights organization staging rally in Almaty

AKIPRESS.COM - The Oyan, Qazaqstan civil rights organization is holding a rally at the square of Almaty on the Independence Day today. They started the protest from the moment of silence, Telegram channel reports.
"We are a movement for political reforms - Oyan, Qazaqstan - today in the historical day of independence, as well as the day of mourning, came to the square to say that we are ready to fight for our rights and freedom! We are ready to fight against the tyranny regime of Nazarbayev", the protesters claimed.
"We did not forget about the shooting of employees in Zhanaozen town, and did not forget the murder of Zamanbek Nurkadilov and Altynbek Sarsenbayev. We know what you did. We are ready to fight that no one and never was prosecuted and killed for political views in our country," the rally participants say.
Police today morning detained the chief editor of the Uralskaya Nedelya news agency.
A day before, Deputy General Prosecutor of Kazakhstan urged the citizens not to participate in illegal protests on the Independence Day.
