Import of cars expected to drop by 5 times in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Import of cars from third countries is expected to reduce by 5 times in Kyrgyzstan amid expected increase in the customs duty rates on imported cars from January 1, 2020, President of the Brokers Association Ivan Geletyuk said.
About 2,000 cars are imported to Kyrgyzstan annually, he said.
"In 2020, roughly speaking, one car a day will be imported, which is about 400-500 cars a year. We are helping to process import, export, transit and declaration documents. No increase in trade is expected, which will have an impact on brokers' activities," he added.
